Yesterday is history, Tomorrow is a mystery, Today is a gift. That's why it's called the Present. Eleanor Roosevelt
Today is a gift. Art by me, quote by Eleanor Roosevelt

It was a rainy day on our last day at the cottage yesterday, so we showed William "Kung Fu Panda" for the first time.  He wasn't quite ready for it yet, and he ix-nayed it right around the time that the super villain broke out of jail.  But, we did get to the part where Oogway wisely recited this Eleanor Roosevelt quote to Po, which made me want to pull out this little "Quote Art" I did for my old blog.

More quotes by Mrs. Roosevelt (she was a smart lady)

“Great minds discuss ideas, average minds discuss events, small minds discuss people.”

“Do what you feel in your heart to be right – for you’ll be criticized anyway.”

“Do one thing everyday that scares you.”

“Learn from the mistakes of others. You can’t live long enough to make them all yourself. ”

“Once I had a rose named after me and I was very flattered. But I was not pleased to read the description in the catalogue: “No good in a bed, but fine up against a wall.”

“It isn’t enough to talk about peace. One must believe in it. And it isn’t enough to believe in it. One must work at it.”

How I will miss this view, but Oh The joy of a stable internet connection!  Hello World!

My Grandma passed away this weekend.  It wasn't unexpected, and after a long battle with dementia, I was happy to see her at peace.  She leaves me with many wonderful memories, but this one kept coming to mind lately.

After over 4 years as a Stay at Home Mom, I've decided to embark on a new (and equally profitable) career.  Starving Artist! A Work at Home During Naptime Starving Artist 🙂

Starting in September, I'll be dedicating at least 2 hours a day to drawing and related activities, with the hope of one day making it big on Teh Interwebs with my comic blog.  Ok, so even if I don't become an internet millionaire overnight, I will at least be doing something that will make me, and hopefully some other people, smile.

Scott said "I think you should give it a go" proving his #1 husband status once again.

This blog will be under construction until William starts school in September, when I will hopefully have access to two beautiful uninterrupted hours of work time while Clara naps (ha!)

Stay tuned!
